Here is an osprey pondering the mountain from a perch beneath its nest. This picture was taken a year ago with a small point-and-shoot. I took the picture from a raft in one of the tamer moments during my wild four-hour journey down the Wenatchee River. My new camera is a super zoom Fujifilm Finepix S2500HD. It has 18X zoom capability, and I'm hoping to get close up shots of what I see, much closer than what you see here, anyway. It is a relatively small bridge camera, not perfect but light and rugged enough for me to carry on all my future nature travels. |
